I already had my CDL but wanted to add HAZMAT. There was a issue processing the payment online, but was able to drop off cash with George (the guy from Allied where their office is). I studied previously with the DMV Genie app. The class was super easy being prepared prior, and meeting Tom and dealing with his son Thomas was a pleasant process. To anyone looking to get hazmat or into commercial driving I highly recommend these guys. I honestly was nervous because of all the scams these days, and issues with payment, and being in the Allied building, it just seemed off/sketchy BUT when I finally met them and Thomas communicating every step of the process, I would go through these guys in a heartbeat. Awesome and knowledgeable team!

Tom was very easy to talk to and explained things clearly. He is very good at assessing your experience level and teaching you the right way to do things, you might think you know already, without making you feel like a fool. On top of that he will set up a test day for you when you're ready so if you pay attention and follow his direction you don't need to spend a month or two for training. Good luck and have fun

I have had my class a for over a year but had an auto restriction on my license. CMV tutor was the only place in MN I could find that could work with me to learn to drive a manual and get that restriction removed without trying to cram it in in a week long refresher course. You'll get one on one training and will go at the pace that works for you to get you to where you're ready to test. I had Tom as my trainer and he did a great job. I would recommend CMV tutor for anyone that wants to learn to drive a manual truck and get your class a.

I started with Tom having no experience with semis or manual transmissions. Within a few weeks, I was driving through town comfortably. This is indicative of how good Tom's training program is. He works around your schedule and is prompt in communication. Highly recommend!

During my search for behind the wheel training Class "A" CDL, I was looking for a place that would cater to my already full schedule, and the CMV Tutor did just that. I was able to train on weekends. Tom is also an awesome instructor, that is able to tell you exactly what you need to work on to improve. It's no surprise, that he has such a high success rate. He isn't there to just get you to complete the training then send you on your way. He ensures that you are ready to take the exam, by giving you all the skills and confidence to pass.
