At The CMV Tutor we strive to deliver the best training possible for your future career in the trucking industry. The instructor works with each student on a one-on-one training basis. Each student is trained on their individual learning needs with a manual transmission. All training is based on the FMCSA/PTDI and CVTA training standards and curriculum. Hands on is how we train our students. This is a learn as you go at your pace training that doesn't push a student into testing before they are ready for testing.
We embrace a learning environment that will prepare you for the path ahead. Our classes and BTW incorporate traditional learning styles as well as hands-on experiences. The manual transmission training is in an actual 10 speed tractor with a minimum 48-foot trailer. You are taught how to operate a "BIG RIG" in actual road scenarios and situations. The more time behind the wheel the better. Learn from the basics through some advanced skills in the rig. We also offer class "B" and class "B" to "A" upgrades to lift restrictions. If you have an "AUTO" restriction and wish to get it lifted, we're the school for you. HAZMAT classes are also available. No question is a stupid question at The CMV Tutor!

Our training facilities are located in Rochester, MN and Eagan, MN. We are partnered with a fully functional trucking company that allows the use of actual docking facilities to practice the backing. Each facility offers ample room to practice backing in a LIVE backing situation when you are ready. Learn manual transmissions in a 10 speed tractor also drop and hook right after finishing your online and in-person classes about trucking basics.
We have Hazmat classes available for those seeking a Hazardous Materials endorsement. This is online learning combined with an in-person class. We believe you should have PROPER training for Hazmat and not just some quick online course. How do you ask questions about issues to an instructor that doesn't exist??
